<p>I never knew that “<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822832/" mce_href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822832/" target="_blank">Marley and Me</a>” really was based from a <a href="http://www.johngroganbooks.com/marley/index.html" mce_href="http://www.johngroganbooks.com/marley/index.html" target="_blank">book by John Grogan</a>. I hate that I should really be honest and all, but from the first moment that I did see the trailer for the movie “<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822832/" mce_href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0822832/" target="_blank">Marley and Me</a>“, I know I didn’t want to watch it. I’m really a pet lover and all, but what I really did not want to see was the “family thing” that transcribed throughout the movie.</p>
There are issues. Issues that I have been trying to resolve throughout my entire life, and never thought would catch up with me this soon. The movie was really all about life, and family and love. Not just love for fellow humans, but also love for those who are bereft of the human language–like our pets. They teach us how to love in a different way. They shape us like kids do to their parents, and even make us sacrifice parts of our lives we never thought we would.
A couple of times I had to leave my seat. A seat that really wouldn’t be missed from the total vacant seats in that cinema. It wasn’t really the more popular movie to choose from at that time. We picked it because it was a “fun” movie (said my honey). I was really opting for the Underworld since I loved that movie series. My sister and mom have watched it already and their reviews were good. It was a sad thing that a “romantic comedy” movie could have destroyed me that bad.
I’m now writing in good condition. No longer at my lowest. It was a touching movie and really one that moved me (and my honey too). It felt more like rolling the dice and trying out something to see how it works.. but not really being there.
I hope that those who are considering to watch the movie in order to gain insight on family life and/or love of pets may be moved by this movie. If you do have issues you really can’t tackle by yourself, then be ready to see what it has for you.
